SRPC: Teaching the principles of life, till we all come to maturity
The institution of marriage created by God is of great value to the Lord, the church and society. When marriages break down the family is crushed and the church is overwhelmed and greatly impacted. We see the effects of the breakdown of families in the church as we experience an increase in divorce, single parenthood and spouse murders.
Strengthening marriages is an essential work of the church. As the church imputes in to marriages, the family is strengthened, the church benefits from the stability, and the community is impacted.
The church has an opportunity to prepare people for relationships and to stand in the gap of marriages that are under attack.
The church can fortify and strengthen marriages and families by providing opportunities for growth, support, and encouragement.
At Solid Rock we hold monthly meetings and end of year celebrations for only the married. During such meetings we use biblical teachings to guide couples into healthy, growing, Christ-centered marriages.
Our married fellowship is open to both church and non-church members. The already married are by default part of the fellowship, however we also very much encourage soon to be married to join for induction purposes.
Our monthly meetings are held at a member’s home on a rotation basis.
